These are some of the best books to help you understand drinking.

They cover many aspects of drinking from various angles.   Some are written for a broad base of people, while others are written for a more specific type of person and situation.

I cannot recommend any specific book for anyone.   Some can be very helpful, while others are more of a biographical nature, written by someone that has achieved a higher level of understanding problems associated with drinking.

You need to click on one that catches your eye and look at the excerpts offered by them.   You may find one that "feels" like it may be helpful.   It just might be the one that makes a difference.

An alcoholic will rarely read a book about QUITTING DRINKING. They are more likely to read one about learning how to control their drinking and improving their behavior when drinking.

This is an important step toward learning how to master drinking.
It gives them a feeling of empowerment rather than a feeling of failure.
