They want all of your personal information before they tell you exactly what you are buying and what it will actually cost. It is amazing how many large "reputable" companies use this tactic. Since they don't have personal contact with you so a high-pressure sales person can "persuade" you, they "require" you to enter your information as a hook to get you "invested" in taking the next step, the purchase. Even if you don't buy, they now have your personal information, which THEY CAN SELL! No matter what they promise, this information is more likely to be sold if you DON'T make a purchase than if you do. If they get caught, they simply blame it on an ex-employee, or a hacker, or any of several "excuses-of-the-day." Just don't buy from companies that don't let you, SHOP BEFORE YOU BUY. |
