FIGHTING SPAM

There are two things you need to know:

1. The government knows that Canned Spam creates more spam.

They want you to get mad enough so that you will encourage them to start charging for emails. They will act like they are against it, but will finally agree to a "small" charge. We know what happens next.

2. Spam only works with the help of the credit card companies.

Why would someone spam if they can't collect any money?

Make laws to allow accounts to be frozen upon the receipt of affirmed criminal complaints against spammers.

Also make laws that would make the executives of credit card companies accessories to fraud if they knowingly help a spammer open other accounts to avoid seizure.

The details and authority for enforcement are easily worked out, especially if we make it a felony.

If we really get serious, we could offer rewards to those that help locate and prosecute the spammers.

Obviously, the government, the credit card companies, and the spammers will be vehemently against this approach. They know that it will work, and cost them a lot of money.
